Chip Wilson is a New Orleans-based singer/songwriter/guitarist/music writer. Album credits include the independent release A Jumpin’ Somethin’ earning an Offbeat Award nominations with fellow musicians Wynton Marsalis and Kermit Ruffins. His Threadhead Records release, Side By Side with Wilson & Moore, was named a Top Nine CD of 2009 by Keith Spera of the New Orleans Time-Picayune.  Fond Regards on the Immersion label, third in a trilogy of solo recordings, earned Chip a Best Singer/Songwriter nomination from Offbeat magazine.

Chip’s first release in 4 years is the ArtistShare album NOLA, produced by ArtistShare founder Brian Camelio, best known for his productions of several Jim Hall releases, showcasing the inspirational jazz guitarist in duo and band settings, in both new and archival recordings.

New projects that are in production now include a duo album with Mark Rubin, with originals and more from the Rubin/Wilson Folk-Blues Explosion. Chip is also working on a solo guitar project, strictly instrumental improvisations, using church sources, original compositions and blues/ jazz and folk influences combined.
