Mark Rubin and Chip Wilson disliked each other before they even met, until they discovered that they both really liked Charlie Poole, and American music in general. Endless duo and band gigs later, festivals, nightclubs and Louisiana backyards, the Explosion has recorded an album of originals and favorites, due out in 2017, with Matthew Smith at Austin's Six String Ranch studio.   The duo channels enormous energy  through guitar, mandolin, bass and banjo strings, with familiar melodies and harmony vocals from classic songs, fiddle tunes, ragtime instrumentals and more. And they like each other now.
