My musical partner Mark Rubin, adept on several instruments in several styles, and I have just released our duo album of original music, TNT, recorded and produced by Matthew Smith at Six String Ranch in Austin, TX. Mark’s Bay Of Ponchartrain and my tune Magnolia Finisterre both show the genius of Matt Smith’s production.

High points of 2019 included two Big Easy Guitar Festivals, produced by Jimmy Robinson. Sharing a bill and a stage at one of Jimmy’s festivals with Brian Stoltz, Tommy Malone, John Rankin, Phil Degruy and other NO guitar masters is always a great honor.
This past year, I recorded Stories And Occasional Lies at the Ellis Marsalis Center For Music, just across the street from my house in the New Orleans Musicians Village. With Brian Camelio’s imaginative production and the musicianship of Mark Rubin, Julian Lage, Sean Harkness, MarcelloBenetti and an amazing lap steel contribution from Nels Cline, it truly represents my best work at this stage in life. I'm excited for you all to hear it, and share it with others.
While it is available to stream on Spotify, you can purchase hard copies at Louisiana Music Factory, Amazon or ArtistShare.
Currently, with the help of engineer Daryl Dickerson, I am working on pieces featuring Marcello Benetti on percussion, Mark Rubin on tenor and 5-string banjos, Eric Robinson on acoustic archtop guitar and Dr. Michael Torregano on melodica. I’ve lived in New Orleans for over half of my career, and this new music reflects the influences and my love of the music of the American South.
